Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of CROSSFIRE, FULL FRAME DOCUMENTARY
SHORTS (VOLUME 3), HIROSHIMA NO PIKA, IMAGINARY HEROES, NIACIN: LIVE IN
TOKYO, PRISONER OF PARADISE, and SIX AGAINST THE ROCK:

CROSSFIRE (reviewed by Steve Evans, overall score 92/100):
"There's no whodunit aspect to the film, as most viewers will correctly
guess the killer well before Act Two (indeed, he is all but identified
on the back cover of the DVD keepcase). On the upside, the detectives
devise an elaborate trap to catch their suspect. One of the film's great
pleasures is watching this clever scheme unfold -- to a rather
    perfunctory ending."

FULL FRAME DOCUMENTARY SHORTS (VOLUME 3) (reviewed by Rob Lineberger,
    overall score 88/100):
"Six films cannot begin to represent all of the stories that screened at
last year's festival. Nonetheless, they manage to suggest the emotional
breadth of the documentary and give us a glimpse into what compels
    documentarians and their fans."

HIROSHIMA NO PIKA (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall score 80/100):
"The quality of Toshi Maruki's art in Hiroshima No Pika is exceptional,
and this is a story that should be told to all but the youngest
    children."

IMAGINARY HEROES (reviewed by Patrick Bromley, overall score 83/100):
"It's far from being a home run, but it's at least solid double; the
actors are so good and some scenes are strong enough to warrant a
recommendation -- albeit a slightly reluctant one. I look forward to
Dan Harris's next film, and hope that he's found something more
    original to say."

NIACIN: LIVE IN TOKYO (reviewed by Adam Arseneau, overall score 84/100):
"And as for Niacin, the name? Alternatively known as vitamin B3,
'Niacin' is a not-so-subtle musical reference to the Hammond B3 organ,
the trademark vintage sound of which the band centers their music
around. This is the kind of joke that only nutritionists or musicians
    would find funny. I laughed."

PRISONER OF PARADISE (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 92/100):
"Prisoner of Paradise is a remarkable documentary and should be
mandatory viewing for anyone interested in a compelling and
heartbreaking story of how a human spirit can be crushed."

SIX AGAINST THE ROCK (reviewed by David Johnson, overall score 84/100):
"An old-school escape saga set in the granddaddy of inescapable
fortresses and fronted by a great cast, Six Against the Rock is as 'rock
solid' a TV movie as I've ever seen."
