Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE BOYS OF ST. VINCENT, BUSTER
KEATON COLLECTION, THE CLEARING, THE DISORDERLY ORDERLY, HERO, THE MARX
BROTHERS SILVER SCREEN COLLECTION, O-GENIO: RAY CHARLES LIVE IN BRAZIL,
1963, OPEN WATER, POIROT: DEATH ON THE NILE, THREE COINS IN THE
FOUNTAIN, TOPPER / TOPPER RETURNS, UNCONSTITUTIONAL: THE WAR ON OUR
CIVIL LIBERTIES, and WILD AT HEART:

THE BOYS OF ST. VINCENT (reviewed by George Hatch, overall score
    95/100):
"I can't call it 'entertainment' in the true sense of the word, because,
like Schindler's List, The Boys of St. Vincent is an incredibly painful
film to watch, all the more so because it is also based on fact."

BUSTER KEATON COLLECTION (reviewed by Sandra Dozier, overall
    score 83/100):
"Although Keaton also made several talking pictures, his silent movies
are what made him famous and define his most creative efforts as a
    filmmaker and actor."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/busterkeatoncoll.php

THE CLEARING (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score 90/100):
"The Clearing isn't so much about the story but about the execution. The
story itself is filled with the standard kidnapping cliches and plot
complications, yet the film is not boring or routine. It's all in how
the story unfolds that makes the film interesting and compelling."

THE DISORDERLY ORDERLY (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 88/100):
"This is a clothesline film, the slimmest of premises strung across the
90-minute running time, upon which Lewis and Tashlin can then hang all
manner of major and minor set pieces."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/disorderlyorderly.php

HERO (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 80/100):
"Hero is built around a somewhat simple plot, but that simplicity
belies the depth of character and emotion revealed in the visual
aspects of the film; it's impossible to imagine this story, as told, in
    any other medium."

THE MARX BROTHERS SILVER SCREEN COLLECTION (reviewed by Patrick Naugle,
    overall score 92/100):
"Yes, all of these movies show their age. And yes, many of the comedy
bits are out dated and even stale. Yet the fact remains that Groucho,
Chico, and Harpo are still one of the funniest comedy troupes to ever
    trounce upon the silver screen."

O-GENIO: RAY CHARLES LIVE IN BRAZIL, 1963 (reviewed by David Ryan,
    overall score 91/100):
"With Ray poised to take home some Oscars come Spring, it's not
surprising to see some DVD products capitalizing on the resurgent
interest in the late, great Ray Charles. Despite the serious issues with
audio and video quality here, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better
concert from Charles than this Brazilian twin-bill."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/ogenio.php

OPEN WATER (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 84/100):
"In the wide range of attempts at reinventing genres and instilling
innovation into the most tired of cinematic situations, Open Water comes
out on top. It is far from a perfect film. But when it gets things
right, they are as horrifying as in the best, biggest blockbuster."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/openwater.php

POIROT: DEATH ON THE NILE (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall
    score 86/100):
"Like so many of Agatha Christie's enduringly popular works, Death on
the Nile combines the intellectual and psychological appeal of the
murder mystery with the glamour and decadence of life between the
    world wars."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/poirotdeathonnile.php

THREE COINS IN THE FOUNTAIN (reviewed by Lacey Worrell, overall
    score 88/100):
"This DVD is perfect for an evening in; there are no lessons to be
learned or speeches to be made...it is simply an airy confection that
perfectly embodies the time period in which it was made."

TOPPER / TOPPER RETURNS (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall score
    82/100):
"The film version of Smith's Topper, like the novel it's based on, is a
felicitous mingling of elements. In one sense it's very much a screwball
comedy, as I noted, about the liberation of a repressed protagonist; yet
it's equally a comedy about a midlife crisis."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/topperdf.php

UNCONSTITUTIONAL: THE WAR ON OUR CIVIL LIBERTIES (reviewed by Bill
    Gibron, overall score 82/100):
"We, the people, in our never-ending attempt to form a more perfect
union, tend to undermine justice and piss on domestic tranquility. We
could care less about the common defense, have more or less revoked most
general welfare, and feel that freedom is something best left to freaks,
non-conformists, and radicals. But, hey, don't mess with our children,
or there'll be trouble, with a capital 'T' and that rhymes with 'P' and
    that stands for politics."

WILD AT HEART (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 94/100):
"David Lynch makes sculptures out of celluloid. He molds visual
elements such as color and fire around music to create palpable
visceral fever dreams that play out in front of the viewer in
    disturbingly beautiful ways."
