Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ASTRO BOY: THE COMPLETE SERIES,
BUBBLEGUM CRISIS TOKYO 2040: ESSENTIAL ANIME (VOLUMES 2 AND 3),
DIVERGENCE EVE: WELCOME TO WATCHER'S NEST (VOLUME 1), GALAXY FRAULEIN
YUNA, GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX (VOLUME 4), NEON GENESIS
EVANGELION: PLATINUM COLLECTION (VOLUME 5), NEON GENESIS EVANGELION:
PLATINUM COLLECTION (VOLUME 6), and WANDABA STYLE: ROCKET STARDOM
    (VOLUME 1):

ASTRO BOY: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
    score 60/100):
"This new series attempts to capture recent changes in computers and
robotics while remaining true to the original tone of the series. It is
a highly successful combination. If only the same thing could be said of
this DVD box set, which is a total disaster and an embarrassment for all
    involved."

BUBBLEGUM CRISIS TOKYO 2040: ESSENTIAL ANIME (VOLUMES 2 AND 3) (reviewed
by Sandra Dozier, overall score 90/100):
"For fans who wanted to know more about the guts of the Bubblegum Crisis
universe, including how the Boomers were developed and more about their
horrible potential, Tokyo 2040 definitely delivers. Personally, this is
my favorite Bubblegum Crisis series -- I was unable to tear my eyes away
    toward the end."

DIVERGENCE EVE: WELCOME TO WATCHER'S NEST (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by
    Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 60/100):
"Divergence Eve looks great and sounds great, but it's not great. Not by
    a long shot."

GALAXY FRAULEIN YUNA (reviewed by Mac McEntire, overall score 71/100):
"So for fans of the game, who are already familiar with the reams of
background information about these characters, it's a lot of fun, right?
Sadly, the series has another fatal flaw. This would be the yelling."

GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX (VOLUME 4) (reviewed by Rob
    Lineberger, overall score 95/100):
"Volume Four gives us a nice, long, back-to-basics break where we can
concentrate on action and character without burning out. It also makes
Volume Four an excellent way to introduce people to the series. The
creative team has worked out the kinks, and these episodes are worth
watching more than once. If you are a Ghost in the Shell -- Stand Alone
Complex apostle, present newcomers with Volume Four; it will hook them
without giving away any major plot points."

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: PLATINUM COLLECTION (VOLUME 5) (reviewed by Rob
    Lineberger, overall score 94/100):
"In a series filled with turning points, this may be the greatest. It
couldn't come at a better time."

NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: PLATINUM COLLECTION (VOLUME 6) (reviewed by Rob
    Lineberger, overall score 100/100):
"Anno has created one of the most powerful psychological deconstructions
I've ever seen. His series has never been trite, but its closing
episodes do no less than explore man's inhumanity toward man -- with
compelling candor. To anger us at such a deep level, Anno must be
reaching a level of human truth that is rare in any artistic medium, but
    particularly for anime."

WANDABA STYLE: ROCKET STARDOM (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
    overall score 88/100):
"In the end, I was won over by Wandaba Style Volume One: Rocket Stardom,
and look forward to the next couple of discs. Wandaba Style is light
frothy fun that went down easy."
