Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE CAVE, FANTASTIC FOUR, F.I.S.T.,
MELINDA AND MELINDA, MIAMI VICE: SEASON TWO, MODIGLIANI, NBA DYNASTY
SERIES: PHILADELPHIA 76ERS: THE COMPLETE HISTORY, NFL: GREATEST SUPER
BOWL MOMENTS, 9 SONGS: UNRATED FULL UNCUT VERSION, NOVEMBER, RATED X: A
JOURNEY THROUGH PORN, ROLL BOUNCE, SHINKAI: COLLECTION, TIMESLIP: THE
COMPLETE SERIES, TRACEY ULLMAN: LIVE AND EXPOSED, UNDISCOVERED, and
WORLD SERIES 2005: CHICAGO WHITE SOX:

THE CAVE (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall score 71/100):
"Too bad the makers of The Cave never go out of their way to show us
their handiwork. Most all of the monsters are kept under wraps -- tight
wrap, as if they were phone taps for the White House -- until the very
end, and even then you never quite know what they are."

FANTASTIC FOUR (reviewed by Mac McEntire, overall score 65/100):
"By this point, some of you are no doubt thinking, 'Hey, dork, so what
if it bears almost no resemblance to the source material, how does it
work as a stand-alone film?' Sorry, but the movie is riddled with enough
groan-inducing, slap-on-the-forehead moments to keep anyone from
    enjoying it."

F.I.S.T. (reviewed by Neal Masri, overall score 60/100):
"If F.I.S.T. had been more of a success, perhaps Sly's career would have
taken a different route. As it stands, the picture represents a brief
stopover on Stallone's climb to international superstardom and
    subsequent descent into direct-to-DVD features."

MELINDA AND MELINDA (reviewed by Jennifer Malkowski, overall
    score 50/100):
"The biggest problem with said gimmick is that Allen plays it safe, not
going for the big laughs or the big tears. The tragedy playwright admits
that perhaps, 'in the end all you can do is laugh,' but you won't laugh
very hard in the comic segment of Melinda and Melinda. Allen's humor
hasn't been laugh-out-loud funny for a long time, and here his wit
    barely registers a chuckle."

MIAMI VICE: SEASON TWO (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall score 74/100):
"Miami Vice was the reason to stay at home on Friday nights, as the
first season was full of a lot of electric moments of drama and great
performances. But as bright as the show's star shined, it shined half as
long as some other established cop shows, because it was, quite frankly,
a lot of style with rapidly disappearing substance."

MODIGLIANI (reviewed by Jonathan Weiss, overall score 63/100):
"As a film, Modigliani is all over the place. It doesn't know whether
it's a love story, an underdog story, or the story of one man's descent
    into his own personal hell."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/modigliani.php

NBA DYNASTY SERIES: PHILADELPHIA 76ERS: THE COMPLETE HISTORY (reviewed
by David Ryan, overall score 76/100):
"When push comes to shove, Dr. J is Philadelphia basketball. Before he
arrived, the Sixers were a talented club that regularly finished
somewhere behind the Knicks, Celtics, or Bucks. Erving, the unquestioned
star of the failed ABA, revitalized the franchise and made it a
    perpetual contender."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/76ershistory.php

NFL: GREATEST SUPER BOWL MOMENTS (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall
    score 62/100):
"The main feature runs about 100 minutes, and in trying to cover all of
the games, each Super Bowl has about three minutes devoted to each
game's highlights. And the recent Super Bowl (where New England repeated
as champions, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles) is given the final 20
    minutes of airplay."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/nflsuperbowl.php

9 SONGS: UNRATED FULL UNCUT VERSION (reviewed by Geoffrey Miller,
    overall score 35/100):
"Maybe someday a talented director will helm a mainstream film that
successfully integrates explicit sexual content. This is not that film."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/9songs.php

NOVEMBER (reviewed by Geoffrey Miller, overall score 65/100):
"Missing Friends? Just think of this as 'The One Where Monica's
    Boyfriend Gets Murdered.'"

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/november.php

RATED X: A JOURNEY THROUGH PORN (reviewed by Patrick Naugle, overall
    score 60/100):
"Those looking for an explanation as to why women would sell their
bodies for filmed sex are given only a few fleeting answers: the
insanely high salaries, the pleasure of making love to multiple
strangers, and 90% of the women working in porn were molested at one
point in their lives. These reasons are never explored in much depth --
    they're more facts than answers."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/journeythroughporn.php

ROLL BOUNCE (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall score 61/100):
"Now don't get me wrong, parts of it were cute and I chuckled once or
twice, but some of the scenes in the film were just a little mixed up."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/rollbounce.php

SHINKAI: COLLECTION (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall score 70/100):
"There is much hype surrounding Makoto Shinkai, but the truth is that
the work he has produced so far is pedestrian. He may be a sincere fan
with a flair for catching a powerful image from time to time, but he has
yet to create any memorable characters or original story points."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/shinkaicoll.php

TIMESLIP: THE COMPLETE SERIES (reviewed by Mike Pinsky, overall
    score 66/100):
"The ironic thing about most science fiction is that it becomes badly
    dated very quickly."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/timeslip.php

TRACEY ULLMAN: LIVE AND EXPOSED (reviewed by Jonathan Weiss, overall
    score 68/100):
"If it's true what they say about the best camera and editing work being
that which goes unnoticed then this, quite obviously, is not it."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/traceyullman.php

UNDISCOVERED (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway, overall score 30/100):
"In the pantheon of music video directors who have made the leap to the
big screen, I'd say Avis belongs in the Russell Mulcahy camp rather than
the David Fincher one. Visually, he can't even seem to make up his mind
what he wants to do with this film. It's half bright, flashy fantasy and
half cold, gritty realism. It's like Joel Schumacher directing a really
    weird episode of Homicide."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/undiscovered.php

WORLD SERIES 2005: CHICAGO WHITE SOX (reviewed by Ryan Keefer, overall
    score 68/100):
"Despite the recent scandals and bad publicity surrounding sports
athletes in recent months, the fact that in the last couple of years two
of baseball's most suffering fan bases have gotten some closure is
    encouraging for the sport."
