Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of THE BERENSTAIN BEARS: BEARS TAKE A
CAR TRIP, BLUE'S ROOM: BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS, CHAPPELLE'S SHOW:
SEASON TWO, DORA THE EXPLORER: BIG SISTER DORA, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND:
THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON, FAT ACTRESS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON,
MILLENNIUM: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON, 7TH HEAVEN: THE COMPLETE SECOND
SEASON, A TOUCH OF FROST: SEASON FIVE, and THE WEST WING: THE COMPLETE
    FOURTH SEASON:

THE BERENSTAIN BEARS: BEARS TAKE A CAR TRIP (reviewed by Lacey Worrell,
    overall score 75/100):
"Although the stories are mildly entertaining, this DVD commits a
cardinal sin of children's entertainment: the adults lecture far too
much. There is a reason why characters like Peter Pan, Nancy Drew, and
Huck Finn have endured the test of time; there are no parents around to
muck up all the fun and the action."

BLUE'S ROOM: BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS (reviewed by Lacey Worrell,
    overall score 75/100):
"Blue's Room is wholly uninspired and crawls along at an incredibly slow
pace. Blue's Clues is slow-paced as well, but in a refreshing way; as
Steve or Joe encourages the audience to help him find clues, the
suspense, or as much suspense as could be expected for the toddler set,
mounts until the clues are put together and interpreted. Blue's Room is
    simply boring."

CHAPPELLE'S SHOW: SEASON TWO (reviewed by David Johnson, overall
    score 90/100):
"Chappelle's Show: Season Two is one of the funniest pieces of rounded
plastic you can jam into your DVD player. "

DORA THE EXPLORER: BIG SISTER DORA (reviewed by Lacey Worrell, overall
    score 87/100):
"I usually cast a jaundiced eye at any program that claims to educate
children, as 'educational' programming frequently varies wildly in terms
of value and quality. I also think that sometimes entertainment for
entertainment's sake is perfectly fine; every single moment of a child's
existence does not need to be a 'lesson.' Dora the Explorer, however,
has my son speaking the very simple Spanish vocabulary words used on the
various shows, with no prodding from me."

EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by Russell
    Engebretson, overall score 98/100):
"This is the family situation comedy against which all other family
    sitcoms must now be measured."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/raymondseason3.php

FAT ACTRESS: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
    overall score 83/100):
"Her corpulence is the butt of every joke, and she allows people to call
her every name in the book, right up to 'elephantine.' It is the show's
biggest strength -- and also its downfall. After seven episodes of
hearing how heavy Kirstie Alley is it becomes repetitive, but it's
always the center of the show. Her paunch is ample, but is that enough
to hang a series on? The answer is mixed."

MILLENNIUM: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Michael Stailey,
    overall score 95/100):
"Forget Frankenstein, Dracula, Freddy Krueger, and Jason Voorhees. The
real monsters are our neighbors, friends, family, and colleagues whose
corruption and primal urges have been cultivated and gone unnoticed for
    far too many years."

7TH HEAVEN: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON (reviewed by Diane Wild, overall
    score 84/100):
"Which is exactly why there's a place for this series amidst the reproducing-like-
bunnies CSIs and Law & Orders, and all those hip, cynical shows you
wouldn't want your kids to watch but know they are."

A TOUCH OF FROST: SEASON FIVE (reviewed by Amanda DeWees, overall
    score 93/100):
"If this season has a running theme, it's Frost developing doubt about
his profession -- whether because police presence seem to bungle a
ransom payoff, or his own judgment about a former offender seems to
put others at risk, or an old and trusted colleague is discovered to
    be corrupt."

THE WEST WING: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON (reviewed by Diane Wild,
    overall score 94/100):
"I think we've safely gotten past the point where television is seen as
the poor cousin of film; those who dismiss television as a wasteland
today haven't been watching the right shows. A season of The West Wing
is like a fine 22-hour movie in its scope and production values, doing
more and delving deeper than an actual film could, with acting and
writing that often rivals Oscar-worthy big-screen contenders."
