Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES
(VOLUME 3), DRAGON TALES: PLAYING FAIR MAKES PLAYING FUN, FULLMETAL
ALCHEMIST: THE CURSE (VOLUME 1), GUNSLINGER GIRL: LITTLE GIRLS, BIG
GUNS (VOLUME 1), KING OF THE HILL: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON, and THE
    SIMPSONS: BART WARS:

BATMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES (VOLUME 3) (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs,
    overall score 93/100):
"In his long and illustrious history, Batman has been presented in many
different styles and with many different interpretations, and Batman:
The Animated Series captured them all beautifully. So it's not at all
surprising how well these episodes hold up a decade later, in spite of
the increasingly sophisticated television animation that has emerged
since this series made its debut -- and it's interesting to note that
these animated episodes hold up much better over time than any movie
incarnation of the character to date."

DRAGON TALES: PLAYING FAIR MAKES PLAYING FUN (reviewed by Maurice Cobbs,
    overall score 80/100):
"The episode deals with the issue frankly and honestly (pointing out,
for instance, that there's really no way to make others stop teasing
you), and gives practical tools for dealing with being teased that don't
include returning to the basketball court with a couple of homemade pipe
bombs and a Glock 357 SIG."

FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: THE CURSE (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by Joel Pearce,
    overall score 92/100):
"Fullmetal Alchemist has gained a lot of attention in the anime world
over the past few years, and with good reason. Although it's aimed
squarely at the teen market, its dark Victorian themes and fascinating
characters will draw in viewers of all ages."

GUNSLINGER GIRL: LITTLE GIRLS, BIG GUNS (VOLUME 1) (reviewed by Joel
    Pearce, overall score 86/100):
"Young female cyborg assassins at a secret government agency? This must
    be an anime series..."

KING OF THE HILL: THE COMPLETE FOURTH SEASON (reviewed by Bryan Pope,
    overall score 85/100):
"What does it say that the only television series in history to flat out
nail contemporary Texas culture is a cartoon from the creator of Beavis
and Butthead? Of course, critics and audiences now realize that Beavis
and Butthead itself was a razor-sharp satire of youth indifference and
generational disconnectedness. So it stands to reason that its creator,
Mike Judge, would once again undermine our expectations of cartoons by
giving us yet another animated series with a little meat on its bones."

THE SIMPSONS: BART WARS (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score
    65/100):
"The only way you'd want to purchase the disc is if you want a less
expensive sampler instead of a whole season, or if one of the shows is a
    personal favorite."
