Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of ALIAS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON,
THE APPRENTICE: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON, BATMAN: HOLY BATMANIA!,
DOCTOR WHO LOST IN TIME COLLECTION OF RARE EPISODES: THE WILLIAM
HARTNELL AND PATRICK TROUGHTON YEARS, FRANKENFISH, THE GUNSMOKE MOVIE
COLLECTION, HOME MOVIES: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON, MEAT LOAF VH-1
STORYTELLERS, THE SIMPSONS GONE WILD, THREE'S COMPANY: THE COMPLETE
THIRD SEASON, and TOUR OF DUTY: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON:

ALIAS: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
    score 95/100):
"For my money, it's the most consistently entertaining show that I have
ever seen, and even though it seems straightforward at first, there is
enough depth here to warrant repeat viewings. Basically, it's a
combination of the best elements of James Bond and Indiana Jones that
keeps on going, week after glorious week."

THE APPRENTICE: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Lacey Worrell,
    overall score 90/100):
"This show is about as compelling and suspenseful as it gets. There is a
vicarious thrill in watching these competitive people size each other up
and sell one another out in the boardroom and behind each other's backs
    in the living quarters."

BATMAN: HOLY BATMANIA! (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall score 75/100):
"Will Batman escape unscathed even though he is going onto the nefarious
Image DVD label? Will fans care about a two-disc package with no shows
on it? Tune in here to find out...same 'bat' time, same 'bat' channel."

DOCTOR WHO LOST IN TIME COLLECTION OF RARE EPISODES: THE WILLIAM
HARTNELL AND PATRICK TROUGHTON YEARS (reviewed by Eric Profancik,
    overall score 95/100):
"If this DVD set contained any other television series (or even movie),
then my first comment would be that is the greatest rip-off of all
time. But because it contains Doctor Who and because it has a unique
history, then this set is actually a very clever compilation for the
    serious Whovian."

FRANKENFISH (reviewed by Dennis Prince, overall score 79/100):
"The premise of Frankenfish is pretty good, though it certainly utilizes
a plotted road well traveled. Knowing this, the production team needed
to determine whether they would attempt to inject a new twist on the
'marauding man-eater' formula or simply retread a well-worn tire to
ensure a level of audience acceptance. They chose the latter."

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/frankenfish.php

THE GUNSMOKE MOVIE COLLECTION (reviewed by Bill Treadway, overall
    score 75/100):
"For hardcore fans of Marshall Matt Dillon and Dodge City, The Gunsmoke
Movie Collection will have to do for the time being. No announcement has
been made regarding the release of the original series as of press time.
This set just screams 'test the waters to see if any Gunsmoke product
    will sell.'"

    FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/gunsmokecoll.php

HOME MOVIES: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by David Ryan, overall
    score 95/100):
"Smart, clever, and devastatingly funny, Home Movies is at heart a show
about kids who think like adults and talk like adults, but who usually
wind up acting their age. It brings you into the very realistic world of
these characters, and makes you care about their little stories."

MEAT LOAF VH-1 STORYTELLERS (reviewed by Brett Cullum, overall
    score 85/100):
"He was literally larger than life and had an impossibly dramatic
Wagnerian voice. He sings about love and wanting, but mixed with cars
and motorcycles. Bat Out of Hell is an operatic opus about your first
kiss and your first heartbreak. So screw the people who poke fun at me
for liking him. Meat Loaf is cool!"

THE SIMPSONS GONE WILD (reviewed by David Packard, overall score
    73/100):
"Speaking of the back of the case, it adds to the feeling that this
compilation is nothing more than a rush job trying to make a few extra
bucks on The Simpsons name. Aside from the omission of the Krusty extra,
the top of the case reads 'Simpsons Uncensored!' I'm a casual fan of the
series -- I'm not a Simpsons guru by any stretch of the imagination, nor
do I claim to be -- so I can't comment on whether or not these episodes
are truly 'uncensored' as the box suggests. "

THREE'S COMPANY: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON (reviewed by Brett Cullum,
    overall score 87/100):
"Many fans claim this batch of episodes were the pinnacle of the show,
when the series moved away from relying on sly innuendo and more towards
Three Stooges physical comedy. If you have to pick one season of Three's
Company to own this could be it."

TOUR OF DUTY: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON (reviewed by Neil Dorsett,
    overall score 83/100):
"The series's combat scenes are at their best in night fights, where the
show's limited budget is put to excellent use, making what must have
been fairly small environments seem quite large. The producers use the
confusion and poor visibility to make the most of their extras and
effective if not elaborate sets. The show also provides the requisite
amount of explosions. What would action entertainment be without
    explosions?"
