S/W: WIN XP home, SP2, fully updated, firewalled, anti-spywared,
    anti-virused.

H/W: Samsung TS-H552U DVD double layer burner, US07 firmware.

Using Nero, VLC Player or Power DVD players, DVD audio is normal. With
Windows Media Player, Real Player-- no DVD audio. All other audio modes
normal (iTunes, CDs, Win Media Player and Real Audio ).

    What's going on?

    Edw.

    Start | Run <type in> SNDVOL32.EXE <enter>
    make sure nothing is muted...
