I currently access my email account both at home and in the office. Recently
I have found that if my home computer is switched on, all my mail downloads
there, even if I am logged out of my account. How do I ensure that mail is
only downloaded to the computer I am using?

Home computer in use by someone else, so not an option to leave it switched
    off!

Set up your email client on the home PC not to delete email from the
    server.

and/or configure the home email client to only "get" mail when you tell
    it, not automatically.
