Domain Logon - Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Protocol Error

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?Qk1pbGxpa2Fu?=, Aug 11, 2005.

  1. I am trying to connect to a PDC using Windows XP x64. It connects fine, but
when I try to logon with a username/password that is a member of the domain
or I try to access shared resources on the XP x64 computer, I get the RPC
protocol error message. It's strange. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Brian

  3. Yes, it's an NT4 network. I can log into it with Win2K computers and WinXP
32-bit computers, but not the Windows XP x64.

  4. Well, I don't know what the problem is, frankly. And I'm afraid that NT4 is
no longer a supported operating system. I think you can still buy limited
support, but whether that will provide what you need is anyone's guess. I
certainly no longer have any NT4 networks to test against. I'm sorry.
