disc cleaners? (or 'why universal monsters make me mad')

    does anyone have any experience with those disc cleaners that (i
    guess) wear away a thin layer of plastic, thereby 'removing' scratches
    from discs? good, bad, indifferent?

    also, anyone else have problems with defective discs in this monster
    legacy set? i mean, not scratches, but poorly pressed discs
