I have a relative's Gateway mid-tower computer in my possession.
Reported problems are constant, and random lockups. WinME, Athlon 950,
192 MB RAM, and a MicroStar MS-6330 2.1 mobo. They suspect virus, but I
have scanned with Norton, AVG, F-Prot, and Trend Micro (online) ... and
it's clean. Ad-Aware comes up empty too. I am suspecting over heating,
inadequate PSU, or RAM ... as the two sticks of RAM appear to be
mis-matched. The 128 MB stick is PC133, and the mobo is only PC100.

Anyway, I digress, is there a way to determine what model of Gateway
    PC this is?

    TIA

If you have the serial number handy, you can go to the Gateway support
site, enter it, and you will get all the scoop:
