desktop properties

    G'day
    thanks for that but no, this does not change a darn thing, I have tried all
    combos in the dialogue boxes and I can not get rid of the plum colour.

    Is it just the toolbar, could be a problem with the monitor if you say
    you have 'tried everything'.
