a friend picked up an old dell 4100 p3 tower and when he goes to boot it,
the www.dell.com boot screen just sits there for about a minute of two
before it boots. he noticed a similar slow response in a dell laptop he
has. is there a way to force it boot faster and not display that stupid
    screen for so long?

    thanks
