  1. hello all

a friend of mine just bought some extra ram
he had 256 DDR RAM 2100
now he bought 256 DDR RAM 2700

i told him it could go wrong by inserting these two different numbers

is this true? or can he put them together in his pc?

he should be fine as long as he doesn't try running the memory clock at
    333Mhz.

Depends on the m/b, some don't like mixing types. Put the slower RAM in 1st
slot and check in BIOS for "set timing by SPD". Wording may be different
depending on BIOS type but basically it sets RAM timings depending on what
    it detects in 1st slot.
