    Hi
I am making a very basic platform Java game in BlueJ and would like to know if anyone knows how to create a countdown timer that would be displayed in a GUI?
I would like the counter to start from 30 seconds and once 0 is reached the game would call upon my game over method.
I have tried many times to create a timer but keep getting the deprecated compiler message
any help would be much appreciated thanks
