    Hi,

If I want to connect a catalyst 2900xl switch to an other switch I need to
    use a cross cable,
or an uplink port on the other switch (if any)...
I was wondering, if it is possible to configure a port (or multiple) as a
    uplink port?
so that I can use a straight cable instead of a cross clable.

    thanks Andree

I don't think so. The difference has to do with which pins are used for
transmit versus receive, and it's not software-switchable.
