CPU Usage 100% culprit is Norton Firewall?

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Gavril the cook, May 24, 2004.

  1. It seems the cause of my browser problems (CPU Usage going up to 100% when
IE is open) is Norton's Firewall itself. If I disable it, the problem
disappears and the browser zips along. Re-enable it and I screetch to a
halt again. So I'm guessing I'll need to un- & re-install it. I'm waiting
'til Monday so I can get online at work and check Symantec's site for a
    simpler solution.
