Configuring processes running

    I remember there's a command in MS DOS I think that allows you to see all
    the running processes and to shut down certain ones if they aren't relevant
    any longer. I remember there were a series of tabs (about 5 I think) with
    the various processes that Windows XP loads up.

    Can anyone tell me what this command is?
