I keep getting an error message that there is an error with my LPT printer
port. Yet when I go to control panel the port says device is working properly.
I downloaded the latest drivers for my Lexmark printer and ran Add new
hardware. It didn't find anything. I also bought a new printer cable and it's a
working printer. I'm running Win98SE on an IBM Thinkpad 600E. Any ideas?
    Thanks

Try to delete the old printer's driver before installing the new one.
