Is it possible for someone to look into my computer and figure out what
websites I've been to even though I have erased the history? if so,
could someone please explain how this is done. Have always been
    curious about it. Thanks.

p.s. I have a mac and use Safari

Temporary Internet Files, index.dat come to mind. Also low level forensic
tools will find deleted history items if the sector has not been
    overwritten.
