    Hi,
I think my pc is infected with some virus and it does not fuction properly
    any more.
I am going to format both my drives, C & D and reinstall my Windows XP Prof.
    SP1
    onto drive C.
The questions are: 1. what will happend if I have to activate the software
    again? Can I do this?
    2. The present Window XP has been updated to
SP2, after installation, do I have
to download the whole SP2 again and
    reinstall onto my SP1??

Yes. If the hardware hasn't changed, you shouldn't even have to call
    Microsoft on the phone.

Yes. Or you can take your XP SP1 disk, and download the SP2, and slipstream
it into a single install. Search www.google.com for "slipstream xp sp2".
