I need help with a Cisco dial plan please, i need to be able to dial *8,
which i dont think i currently can.

and makes little sense to me

What have you bought now? <grin>

Have you looked at the "Cisco Config" link within AMP on the Maintenance
    page?

I have no idea how the dial plan is constructed in a Cisco.........I just
happened to notice that there is a wizard for creating dial plans for Cisco
phones within the maintenance pages of AMP.

    This should explain it:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products...on_guide_chapter09186a0080160f73.html#1021559
    or http://tinyurl.com/o2l6y

AIUI, "S" voids any other dial plan entries, "t" is the
inter-digit timer (indicates time-outs before sending) and
"-" indicates other digits can be dialled, so the first
entry means you can dial "*" and other digits and the
entered string will be sent 4 seconds after the last digit
    entry.

So, *8 should work and send 4 seconds after its dialed.. But it does not
    seem to work :(
