Cisco Catalyst 6500 and VPLS ?

    Hi

    anyone know if cisco catalyst 6500 with sup2/msfc2/pfc2
    can support VPLS ?

    because i have:


    c6509-1#sh mpls l2transport vc 135 detail

    VPLS is not supported on the Catalyst 6500 series. You should upgrade to
    the 7600 series with enhanced corefacing interfaces, such as ES-cards or
    SIP-400/600 cards.

    VPLS and 6500

    Sup2 on the 6500 can not support VPLS or MPLS, but Sup7203B or greater can. VPLS is only supported on the 6500 with a SIP600 card and associated SPA. Certainly it is not as ideal platform for VPLS as the 7600, but some support is possible.
