Cisco 801 boot problem

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Joris Kemperman, Jan 10, 2004.

  1. Uhm, i ran into a new problem which already took me hours and still i'm
    unsuccessful :(

I got two Cisco 801's, and one of the had boot problems; it turned out that
the flashmemory was empty (the onlything that was left was the tinyrom).

I uploaded the IOS of the other device to this device successful now, and
    typed boot.

Now i'm getting strange ASCII codes all over the place and my router isn't
    fucntioning at all :/

Does anyone have a clue why and better: how to get it back on the track
    again?

    Your help is much appriciated!

    Regards,
    Joris
