    Hello,

    I have a Cisco 2610 8Mb Flash, 24Mb DRAM which hangs on bootup - no WIC's
    just the standard hardware config.

I've sucessfully loaded a few different IOS's onto the router via ROMMON &
TFTP but I still get the same problem.

Anyone have any idea as to what the problem might be, I was thinking either
the flash or DRAM is faulty or do I have a major hardware failure.

    Thanx in advance.

    Cheers

    Craig

In rommon mode, set the confreg to skip the start-up config

at romon prompt, entre confreg and response to prompts

enable "ignore system config info"? y/n [n]: y

You must reset or power cycle for new config to take effect

Thanks, this didn't seem to work, still hangs at the same point afer
    decompressing the image.

Do I have faulty flash or DRAM?

I noticed that during the 'Self decompressing the image' the Activity light
on the front is flashing then at the point the router hangs it goes off as
does the ACT light at the back next to the console port.

Any ideas from here, don't have any spare flash to try, just need to know if
the motherboard is toast or if I have bad flash.
