    Hi

I am in the process of setting up a CISCO 1841 SDSL router. I have the
router working with the ISP link

What I would like to know is what the value os TCP-MSS should be, so
far I have found from googling that it sholuld be set to 1420.

This line will have a lots of IPsec vpn terminating on a box behind
    the router.
    How important is this value?

I am aware that this value is related to TCP fregmentation but am not
sure waht effect if any it will have on the VPN tunnels

    Thanks

I would suggest leaving it at its default (1500) unless you are encountering problems.
