Cisco 1721 Router configuration T1 HELP, new to this

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by dr_rockstar66, Feb 5, 2005.

  1. Okay, I just purchased a Cisco 1721 Router and installed
WIC-1DSU-T1. I got this router because I just had the phone compan
come out and install a full T1 (frame-relay). I can't figure out ho
to configure the WIC card for frame-relay. I have all the info fro
the phone company as far as: Port Speed, Framing format, line coding
etc... I just can't seem to figure out how to change the settings o
this thing. I successfully connected to the console port and can ru
commands on the router. Like "show interfaces" which displays my inf
for my WIC card and 10/100 ethernet port. Everything I read on th
web says something about being in global mode. I can't figure ou
what this means, "global mode" I've looked around in the help men
on the router and nothing is mentioned about global mode. I rea
this document below and I think I need to be in global mode, whateve
that is, in order to use these commands, as these commands do not see
to exist in the current mode I'm in. Please help. Thanks

    Not sure where to begin....

I just posted a sample config not more than a week ago. You should be
able to find it in google (keywords: frame-relay, interface-dlci)
