You want to chip a satellite? How are you going to get into orbit?

    It's digital now.

Wrong, the decoder remained the property of Sky and it was forbidden to make any
    modifications to it.

you can still get some programs on satellite, though most are digital now,
cards can still be bought for the foreign birds (mainly pr0n channels), but
if you're thinking of $ky, forget it, you've no chance.

Why bother when you can get thousands of channels on free satellite?

If you have a motorised dish (1.2m plus)and a suitable reciever (Chaparal
montery for instance) along with the ability to switch the lnb (the horn on
the front of the dish) ---the answer is yes,you are not chipping the plastic
card, you are unscrambling the signal. All you need is readily available.
