change 32Bit in 64Bit?

Discussion in 'Windows 64bit' started by =?Utf-8?B?RGVubmlzIE1hZ2dlcnQ=?=, Feb 18, 2007.

  1. Hallo!
I bought a version of WinXP SP2 Pro with the "Vista for Free" package. All
works fine & in a few days I'll hopefully get my version of Vista Business.
    BUT:
Since the time came, I upgraded my computer to a Core2Due CPU and now I want
to run a Vista in 64Bit.
    So my question:
Do I have to buy an second Vista in 64Bit or is it true that all DVDs have
both Versions (32 & 64bit) included? As you can imagine, I'm not willing to
buy jet another version, becaus money don't grow on trees today!

    cYa

Only retail Vista Ultimate comes with both versions. Other retail versions
have the option of requesting a 64-bit version for a handling charge @$10.
Most of the upgrade offers have no provisions for exchanging for different
version, but you can always ask.
