CDP and interface names

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Michele Franzoni, Jul 1, 2005.

  1. I'm trying to discover network topology using cdp. The catalyst 6500
announces its local interface as 1/1 to remote switches but if i query cdp
mib looking for the local interface i get an index. I tried to find that
index in mib-2::interfaces but it returns "short wave fiber gigabit
ethernet". I need to match local interface to interfaces announced to other
switches. Is there a mib were i can find this info? Or do you have a better
    idea?

    Thanks

    Michele
