Catalyst 5505: local IP address not pingable after approx. 1 hour

Having a very strange problem here. We just moved an IBM AS/400 unit
from headquarters to a remote office. Assigned it an IP address on
the remote office's subnet and everything was fine for about an hour.
Then, it's IP address was no longer reachable from the local subnet,
however it was reachable from the headquarter's subnet, where it came
from. Inconsistently, if you pinged an ip address on the local subnet
from the AS/400 itself, that host could then get back to the AS/400,
    for a while.

I used Sniffer to look at the packets on the local subnet and nothing
out of the ordinary jumped out at me.

Doing a hard reset of the Catalyst seems to fix the problem for about
    an hour.

    Any ideas?

Can you post "show config" for this port? Do you have protocol filtering turned
    on?

    With best regards,
    Andrey.

Just a idea, I noticed that you have port 4/46 (10M Ethernet) set hard to
half duplex within the switch with this command:
    set port duplex 4/1-48 half
Check if the server is A) set to 10Mbps and B) Set to Half Dup.
I have noticed that Auto Negot. Is funky when one is hard coded, and the
other is not and can cause intermittent connectivity. I am not familiar with
servers, but most that I have seen have either 10/100 or 100Mbps NIC's so
that is where I would start. Is the interface collecting FCS or other
    errors?
