    Hello everybody.

I'm looking to source some low ESR caps in the near future for mobo repairs.
I'll be needing some 3300mfd 6.3v units, not sure how many yet but probably
12 or more. Obviously I'd like to get them at the best possible price, can
anyone give me any pointers please?

    Many thanks,

Farnell is not a retailer, you need to find a reseller of their product
    line.

RS is probably RS Components in auckland. Very fast ... but not
    usually the cheapest :) www.rswww.co.nz

Well.... Sort of. However, I'm not a large Taiwanese corporation poaching

Eh, you can order stuff straight from their catalogue -- I've done it
many times. Bloody expensive though -- just like RS.

    yes, very specialised.

Jaycar and Altronics have retail offices, they may or may not have the
    specialised knowledge.

Try this question in aus.electronics as well

Thanks Bruce. It's a really confusing site for someone like me who knows
jack about electronic components except that I need 3300mfd 6.3v low ESR
caps. I guess I need aluminium electrolytic capacitors?

Do they have an on-line catalogue? What is "expensive"? I didn't realise
this was going to be this difficult, I can't even find a web page for them.

Hang on, found it, it was obvious really:

    Hi ~misfit~
The size you want is 10mm Dia x 25mm length. Jaycar may be able to order
for you, they do seem to have 4700mfd 10V 16mm Dia x 20mm length
