SanDisk MS Pro 512 MB being used in a Sony
DSC-P150. Works fine in camera and when used with
supplied USB camera combo cable on desktop.

Can't be read with PCMCIA adapter in laptop. Non-PRO
    MS works fine.

I think maybe related to goddam MagicGate DRM crap.

Anybody have any experience with this?

Has everything to do with the fact that the reader can't deal with ANY Pro
Stick. Normal... Just read from the cam.

    Don't wanna.

Wanna use diff. computer when not at home and leave
the Sony cable there. Also don't wanna install yet another
USB driver on a perfectly functioning machine and possibly
screw it up. Also also don't wanna use poorly
designed and far too delicate connector on bottom of camera
    any more than necessary.

PCMCIA adapter advertised as being Pro compatible, BTW.

No need to throw a temper tantrum! Is it Sony's PCMCIA adapter? Also, there
is someone selling additional Sony data cables.

    Thx for the link, Seymore.

    I wasn't REALLY throwing a fit...

    Anyway problem solved:

for the record, if a MS reader of any kind does NOT specifically
    say

    "Supports MagicGate in non-secure mode"

it's a crapshoot whether it'll work with MS Pro, since they
generally all come with the MagicGate crap these days.

The SiiG US2253 specifically includes this language
on the packaging, and works like a charm. Bigger than
the PCMCIA reader, and needs a USB cable, but at
    least it works.
