Can't ping laptop from desktop

Discussion in 'Wireless Networking' started by =?Utf-8?B?Sm9obg==?=, Aug 26, 2007.

  1. I am trying to set up a home network using a d-link WBR-1310 router, XP
desktop (connected to router) and vista wireless laptop. I can access the
internet from bothe computers and can acess files on the desktop from the
laptop but the desktop does not recognize the laptop. I can ping the desktip
from the laptop, but not the laptop from the desktip.. I can ping the local
desktip computer from itself. What do I try next. Thanks

    John
