Is there some trick to displaying the battery remaining in the Canon S80?

I know an indicator will come on when it hits critical, but I'm just not
comfortable without a gauge to know how conservative I should be with
    the battery.

If you're listening, CAnon, you can roll a battery gauge into the patch
that will add raw mode shooting :) (I wish).
