Can ping, but can't telnet, thru 2 VPN's

The destination host is 126.14.34.xxx and from the 10.8.0.0 network I can
ping the host but I can't telnet. The local network, 10.5.0.0 can ping
    *and* telnet to the host.

Actually we are trying to telnet to port 1494, as in 'telnet 126.15.35.xxx
1494' (simulating a future Citrix connection to an ASP).

    The path looks like this:

    10.8.1.1, remote LAN GW router
    10.8.1.10, remote PIX1 for VPN1

    10.5.1.10, local PIX1 for VPN1
    10.5.1.1, local LAN GW router

    10.5.1.17, local PIX2 inside
    172.16.200.2, local PIX2 outside

    172.16.200.1, ASP's VPN2 router inside
    67.xx.xxx.xxx, ASP's VPN2 router outside

    Thanks!

Shoot, I forgot I wanted to ask if maybe one of the "fixups" is causing
this. Then again, if that was the case, local PIX2 would causing it and
since I can telnet over 1494 just fine from the 10.5.0.0 network that can't
    be it.

    Seriously confused!
