Can I use a XTi with a speedlite 160e

    Yes you can use it. But.. The flash only supports TTL.

    For full automatic flash exposure, Digital EOS cameras require
    flashes that support E-TTL

    This means it will always flash at full power. It will be up to
    you to manually adjust the camera's aperture to compensate.
