Can a monitor kill a motherboard?
I tried a different monitor on my pc to replace one which which had
poor focus. It showed display briefly on first boot then screen went
blank. On restart said no signal.
Replaced with original monitor Screen is blank.
I am uing onboard graphics but have also tried with an AGP card and an
old pci graphics card. Absolutely no graphics.
Bios gives long then two short beeps and then appears to continue
    loading windows.
    Have I fried onboard graphics?
Should system detect video card automativcally or do I need to disable
    the onboard graphics in bios?
If the latter how can I do this with no ability to see the bios?
Phoenix award bios in fic am35 motherboard.
    Thanks for any good ideas.
