Discussion in 'Cisco' started by elmar bschorer, Jan 27, 2005.

  1. hi @all!

i've just bought the cisco router 836 ADSLoISDN by ebay with
    IOS (tm) C836 Software (C836-K9O3Y6-M), Version 12.2(13)ZH2,

i found out, that there is a new ios for my router at cisco.com.
unfortunately, i have no chance to download the image at cisco.com
    directly. :-(
what i want to do now is to check if i can get the image from other
sources :) therefore i need the exact version/name of the newest ios.

    may someone plz paste me?

Check with the feature navigator ... www.cisco.com/go/fn ...

Please note that the newest IOS versions might not fit due to the 12MB
flash the "old" 836 has ... the newest release of the 836 has 24MB flash ...

  3. the 12.3 IOS requires 48 MB of memory & 12 MB of flash. If you got an
old router, the latest version of IOS you willl ever be able to use is
    12.2.
