    Hi All,

I have a C2948 switch the following is the output of show port for port 48

    Port Align-Err FCS-Err Xmit-Err Rcv-Err UnderSize
    ----- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------
    2/48 - 4486 0 8974 2

    Port Single-Col Multi-Coll Late-Coll Excess-Col Carri-Sen Runts Giants
    ----- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- --------- --------- ---------
    2/48 456415 130927 0 0 0 4486 0

What is the meaning of Rcv-Err? I recognized that the Rcv-Err is equal to
    FCS-Err + Runt + undersize

    4486 + 4486 + 2 = 8974 (which is equal to rcv-err)

From Cisco they said the Rcv-Err is
"This is an indication that the receive buffer is full"

However Runt, undersize and FCS-Err is nothing to do with Receive buffer.

    Thanks
    Best Regards
    Raymond
