Building Windows 7 skills - will we need another 10 years?

    The thing I find hilarious, in a schadenfreude kind of way, is the reader
    comment explaining the hoops they have to jump through to run Visual Studio
    2003 on Windows 7.

    I mean, this is a development tool, for goshsakes. Why would it be 1)
    incompatible with a different OS version, and more importantly 2)
    incompatible with a newer version of itself? Would it break the project to
    move to a newer version of the development tool?

    Of course, with Windows, the answer is yes.
