Budget supercomputing

  1. Meet "LittleFe"--a six-processor cluster for a four-figure price
    <http://www.theregister.co.uk/2006/11/19/littlefe_cluster/>. Not
    particularly high-powered (it's using Via CPUs), but it has enough in
    common architecturally with the real "big iron" to allow students to get
    familiar with how to write software for clusters.
