    Help Please!!!!

My browser (IE6) seems to be hijacked.
The home page gets changed to http://about-blank.ws/
and 3 icons appear on the desktop, namely: "Debt Solutions", "Party
    Poker.com" and "Party Poker".
Each time I drag the icons to the recycle bin they reappear in a few
    minutes.

I am the only one to use this computer and never knowingly visit dodgy or
    porn sites.
This appears to have happened whilst googling for 'ebay'. (Maybe just
    coincidence)
I have tried Spybot and Hijackthis without success. I have also tried
Adaware with the latest reflist file. Adaware detects about 66 items and
    then hangs up.

Now every 5 minutes I also get IE6 opening by itself with a warning message
saying: "You have visited an illegal pedo site. Click on button to use
    CLEANSPACE to remove"

Could some experts please, please help?

    Thanks & regards,

    Dan

You have been hijacked by CoolWebSearch.

    Thanks °Mike°

I'll give that a try. (Cwshredder).
Hope it sorts out my problem.
Many thanks for the quick response and help. Much appreciated.

    Dan

BTW Can anything be done about these type of people? Can't see how they get
anything from it as it only puts peoples' backs up!

You're welcome. As to what can be done, I'm
not a lawyer, but you can bet if there was a
way to stop them in their tracks, it would have
been done by now. What do they get from it?
They get money from advertising referrals, why
    else would they do it?

Empty the recycle bin and they should be gone for good.

You've got just about everything you need for a good internet experience,
just add a couple of off-shore Viagra icons and you're all set. :)
