Brentwood vs. Uni. "Alice"?

Discussion in 'DVD Video' started by Derek Janssen, Jan 4, 2005.

  1. Was disappointed to find out that Universal's 12/28 version of the 1972
"Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (the good-looking musical version,
and one of the only two sane live-action versions out there) seems to be
just the distribution of a cheap mom-and-pop bare-bones from "Screen
    Media Films"--
Full-frame, no menu, arbitrary chapters, respectable transfer, but still
    looks tape-derived.

By pure chance, does anyone have a copy of the earlier version that came
out from Brentwood/BCI (w/movie-poster cover), and can tell whether it
    was any minor technical improvement?

Derek Janssen (assuming there's even one person out there that knows this)
