Braodband and Cable modem

    Broadband and cable are the same thing and use the same type of modem
    for cable or BB connection. The modem uses a cable connection from the
    cable company. The cable is usually from an ISP that also provides the
    cable feed for cable TV, like Insight TV in the Midwest US that also
    provides the broadband connection on the same cable and the broadband
    part of Insight TV is www.InsightBB.com the BB means BroadBand.

    If you buy a cable modem, you and use the modem for an ISP that calls it
    cable and you can use the modem for an ISP that calls it broadband.
