I have been tying to send email to bigpond.com, bigpond.net.au &
bigpond.com.au users and my mail is continually being returned with
"Delivery Status Notification (Delay)" & "Delivery Status Notification
(Failure) ". From what I can gather from reading other posts is that
all gmail is currently blacklisted, thereford making it impossible for
me & other users to reach anyone using bigpond..........Can somebody
do something about removing gmail from the blacklist?
I would appreciate some response or help on this issue!
    Thanks

You can write to the admins of the Bigpond mail servers and ask them if
it's their own blacklist or one supplied by someone else. Then contact
them about getting it removed from the list. Equally effective would be
to get a joust and an old horse and go looking for some windmills to kill.

Sure. Bigpond decided to blacklist gmail.com. So Bigpond is the one
that has control over not blacklisting gmail. You aren't a user of
Bigpond so there's no point in wasting your time with them. Bigpond's
customers will have to raise a stink with Bigpond about whatever Bigpond
has decided to blacklist (or configuring whatever blacklisting service
they use). Guess your Bigpond "customers" will have to use a
non-Bigpond account to receive your e-mails. It is also possible that
Bigpond allows users to define whitelists (i.e., allowed senders) but
often domain blacklisting is ahead of the users' mailboxes so their
whitelisting rules are ineffective since the blocked mails never reach
the users' mailboxes to then apply the whitelist rules.

So with other choices for e-mail providers, why are you sticking with
Gmail if it is so impossible to get your e-mails delivered from there?
Gmail is free. There are other free providers. Of course, if the
blacklisting used by Bigpond is IP specific then maybe the real
"problem" is that they blacklisted YOU and not Gmail. After all, *YOU*
    are on some blacklists; see
