Best 17 inch LCDs

Discussion in 'NZ Computing' started by wogers nemesis, Nov 18, 2004.

  1. Does anyone have any recommendations for a 17" LCD that has DVI and handle
FPS games and the odd session of programming. I guess I can keep my CRT
    for colour work..

The BENQ FP737S-D, Philips 170B5CS, Viewsonic VG712 look likely.

The thing I have found with some acers, is that they do tend to have bad
light seepage around the edges of the LCD, which is very visible when
    viewing a black screen.

Yep - it probably has to be at least 16 ms (or here abouts).

I agree - a good warranty is needed. The odd dead pixel won't annoy me too
    much.
