Belkin Wireless Keyboard - intermittent key press failures

I have a Belkin Wireless Keyboard & Mouse combo (F8E832) on Windows
XP Pro, SP1. The mouse works fine but the keyboard won't type
consistently - it keeps missing letters etc. I've tested the keyboard
on another laptop and it's fine so it appears to be specific to using
    it on this laptop.

The laptop is a Fujitsu Amilo with Windows XP Pro SP1. Have tried
disabling anti-virus etc to check if this interfered but made no
    difference.

    Any ideas?
