Ballmer: Microsoft lost “thousands of man hours of innovation†on Vista

  1. Funny how the Microsoft PR spin changes AFTER a product has been superseded

I can remember an “independent†study being released when Windows NT 4.0
came out, claiming that the previous version was only capable of an average
uptime of about 3 days, compared to on the order of a month for the new
version. Then when that was replaced with Windows 2000, Gates (or some other
senior exec) claimed that his kids were able to crash the previous version
“all the timeâ€, while the new one was bulletproof by comparison.

So Microsoft admits that Windows sucks, but never the current version. Not
until that is no longer current, anyway.
